Life and Ministry of the Messiah begins November 11

The Adult Bible Study class will begin a video study of Ray Vander Laan’s Life & Ministry of the Messiah beginning on November 11.

From the product description:

Pack your bags. We’re going on a journey. A quest to uncover Scripture and its meaning across history. Filmed on location in Israel and throughout the Middle East, the Faith Lessons DVD series is an adventure in biblical learning. You will discover why Jesus turned the world upside down with his compelling call to follow him.

Teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan brings together history, culture, and geography to illuminate the Gospels. Eight DVD lessons with a Leader’s Guide will let you, your family, or your small group walk with Jesus through the days of his ministry on this earth. The insights you gain will transform your reading of the Gospels and inspire a deeper faith commitment.

Faith Lessons on the Life and Ministry of the Messiah focuses on the birth of Jesus, his life, and his short but powerful ministry—a ministry that has shaped empires and changed the course of history.

The Adult Bible Study meets in Room 11 at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  Contact facilitators Caroline Tromble or Jodi Buntin with questions.

Youth Mission and a Movie Night — October 12 — Fleece Needed

Our youth will be making no-sew fleece blankets for a couple of our area shelters on Friday, October 12 from 6:30-9:00 p.m.  We’ll be watching a movie while making the blankets!

We are in need of fleece donations — so check your cupboards, shelves and drawers for pieces of fleece (minimum 1 1/2 yds) which you have laying around and drop them off at the church in the Youth Room (Room 10 downstairs).

Questions?  Please contact Youth Leader Abby Tobias.
