Help needed July 13

Moving-HomeAware of our Great Giveaway, the leadership of St Matthew’s Catholic Church initiated an invitation for us to glean all leftovers from a Hilltop Place fire victims’ give away! (Now that’s ecumenism at its best!) We are invited to come to St Matthew’s Church (2575 S Webster Ave) on Saturday afternoon, July 13, at 1:00 p.m., and gather all items we wish for the Great Give Away.

As we have attempted to respond to the needs of Hilltop fire victims, we’ve drawn on many of the items we’d gathered for the Great Giveaway. (The two projects have blended into a single response of compassion.)  Having worked earlier in partnership with St Matthew’s Church for the fire victims, we’re now being given the opportunity to re-stock our “warehouse” for a meaningful Great Giveaway.

Will you help?  Will you come on the 13th and help with any of the several following tasks: (1) sort-and-box, (2) bring a pick-up truck for hauling furniture, (3) organize/reorganize our storage building?  In Jesus’ Palm Sunday words: “The Lord has need of” you.
